Home Health Care Psws
Job Duties:
• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Remind clients of medication schedules and assist with transportation to appointments
• Help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s and other memory impairments
Requirements:
• Treat seniors and their property with dignity, respect, and professionalism
• Communicate effectively and clearly with clients
• Successfully pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector check
• Provide at least two professional and personal references
• Be punctual and reliable when attending shifts at clients’ homes
Hospitals and Long Term:
Requirements
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and professionalism when interacting with the unit team
• Ability to show respect and empathy towards patients and their family members
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Certified in First Aid, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), and Mask Fitting
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with colleagues and patients
• Punctual and reliable attendance record
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Registered Practical Nurse
Requirements:
• Possession of a current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• Current CPR certificate at the HCP level.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
